New Belgium’s Clips Beer & Film Tour will have a lot of New Belgium beer

Once again, New Belgium Brewing Company’s traveling fundraiser will make one of its 20 city stops in Madison. The Clips Beer & Film Tour, which comes to Olin Park on Thurs Aug 27, offers a short film program culled from entries by brew and film enthusiasts alike. Each tour’s selections are different, but submissions usually strike a balance between outdoorsy stuff and absurdity.

There’s also beer. Lots of New Belgium beer. This year, event sponsor Wisconsin Bike Fed has even taken to posting all the brews offered on their website. Attendees can purchase everything from requisite brews like Blue Paddle Pilsner and Fat Tire to New Belgium’s fruity Lambic Transatlantique Kriek and a Film Noir Imperial Milk Stout, the latter of which is only being served at Clips events. The Wisconsin cycling non-profit is even letting you vote on your favorite beer, though by all accounts it won’t have any effect on New Belgium’s selection, which goes 17 deep this year.
