Madison’s very own Aaron Granat continues his video portraiture work, this time in promoting Jason S. Yi’s forthcoming exhibition at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art.
A Fragile Permanence, which runs in the State Street gallery August 23 through November 9, captures the variance of perception through history and pan-cultural architectures.
Granat’s videos adopt a similar conceit to his other portraits, featuring gallery patrons discussing the artwork as well as indulging in any tangents that may arise from their discussions. (Have you seen Across the Universe?) Several shorter portraits feature no sound in presenting snapshots of the exhibition’s construction.
